If you've been following us on social media for at least a few weeks, you've seen a sneak peak of some of the images we took during a shoot in LA with mixed print maven, Victoria Sanders of VicStyles. As someone who loves prints as much as we do, it was truly a no-brainer to collaborate with this talented blogger and stylist. Her energy is just as bright and warm as the beautiful colors she often wears, and it comes through in all of her photos!
I'm so very happy that we got a chance to meet, and even more excited about the December event we're planning in Los Angeles! We'll be sharing more information on the event soon, but in the meantime, check out the shoot we did last month, and our quick interview & let us know in the comments what you think!
xo,
Mik~
Not many of us are fortunate enough to find out what we want to do as a career, early on in life. Not the case for Vic. When I asked her when she realized that she wanted to make a career out of fashion, she answered, "I was in college working at Express. My manager at the time recognized my passion for the industry and kind of mentored me. She entered me in stylist competitions, introduced me to the idea of buying and styling and basically cultivated my skills."
One of the things that drew me to Vic was her no holds barred sense of style. I've never been one to follow any fashion rules, as I just wear what makes me feel good, so I asked her, What {so-called} fashion rule should everyone break?
"All of them!!!!! Seriously. Think [dress] outside of the box. Wear white after Labor Day, mix prints, mix metals, black and brown totally go together."
Stay tuned for Thursday's post, where we'll announce a special FLASH SALE (read: huge discount) on this floral C/MEO Collective dress (in both blue & black)!
