What's your Print Personality?•
Posted on July 14 2015
As you may have noticed, prints are a huge part of our shop's personality. Be they subtle or bold, bright or light, we just can't get enough! With summer's warmth hugging us ever-so-tightly, it's so easy to get caught up in simple staples that don't show much of our inner joy. It's the one outfit you can throw on without much thought, and head out the door. I call them throw and gos, and we all have them!
I can admit, it's easy to get overwhelmed when it comes to prints. From choosing what suits you best, to how to pair it and what jewelry or accessories to wear, there is a lot to think about. Vêtu de Joy is here to help you out of your style rut and point you in the direction of figuring out your print personality.
Let's start with a few ideas on how to incorporate prints into your every day looks. Shoes and accessories are a great way to dip your toes in. Pun intended.
Do you like to keep it simple and pair a monochrome outfit or denim+white tee with a pair of statement shoes?
Or maybe you're more of a bold handbag kinda girl.
Accessories are a huge part of any wardrobe, and the right (or wrong!) ones can seriously make a difference. If, however, you're anything like us, you mix them all together for one completely unique, completely joyful ensemble.
Maybe you're asking, what print is for you? Here are some of our faves, and perhaps you'll find your new favorite as well!
For so many reasons, you'll see Hawaiian-inspired prints everywhere this season. From palm print dresses and swimsuits to tropical print pants. In bold shades and feminine shapes, these particular pieces certainly stand out from the others!
Horizontal, vertical, color or black and white, stripes can have you headed in so many different directions. If you want to get your feet wet in mixing prints, start with a horizontal black and white stripe because it can be paired with just about anything! The most important element is your confidence, so have fun with it!
Now for us? We like to go all out. Polka dots + tribal prints, African-inspired prints + stripes, you name it, we've tried it! We've also made shopping for mixed prints simple for you, by creating a Mixed Print section, making finding that uniquely you piece easier.
Whatever your Print Personality, we have something to help you build your wardrobe around it.
Hope to see you #DressedInJoy very soon!
